TMO School Event at Langalanga Comprehensive School
Our recent pilot event at Langalanga Comprehensive School was a meaningful step forward for our mission. We conducted oral health training with the students, teaching them essential habits to maintain healthy smiles. Each child received a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a brushing calendar designed to help them track brushing twice a day, encouraging consistency and responsibility.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to provide snacks that added joy to the learning experience. The school staff went above and beyond by preparing lunch for our team, demonstrating a wonderful spirit of partnership. We were also moved by the dedication of the teachers, whose support and energy throughout the day played a crucial role in the event’s success. Their warmth and leadership created an environment where the children felt safe, seen, and celebrated.
One of the most important outcomes was identifying the first group of children affected by dental fluorosis who will receive treatment to restore their smiles and boost their confidence. This marks the beginning of a life changing journey for these kids.
This pilot event was not only a success but also a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when communities, schools, and partners come together. We are excited to continue this work, expanding our reach to create healthier, happier futures for children in excessive fluoride-affected regions.
